The programme aims to provide <strong>technical solutions<\/strong>, promote <strong>sector collaboration<\/strong> and respond to the major challenges of <strong>competitiveness<\/strong>, <strong>sustainability<\/strong> and <strong>innovation<\/strong> in pig farming.<\/p>\n<p>We accompanied the sector at the gala dinner of the 44th ANAPORC Congress, joining in the well-deserved tribute to two leading figures in the Spanish pig industry: Mr Quintiliano P\u00e9rez Bonilla and Mr Antonio del Barrio Mart\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p>Both recalled, from complementary perspectives, the pillars that have made our sector great: <strong>health<\/strong> and <strong>biosecurity<\/strong> as a competitive advantage, <strong>professionalisation <\/strong>and the irreplaceable role of <strong>veterinarians<\/strong>, and the need to better explain to society the <strong>value <\/strong>of what we do, advancing <strong>animal welfare, sustainability and internationalisation<\/strong>. It was a recognition of a lifetime of service and a way of understanding pigs based on technical rigour, collaboration and long-term vision.<\/p>\n<p>At Syva, we share these <strong>values<\/strong>. We will continue to support R&amp;D and work alongside veterinarians, livestock farmers, integrators and associations to strengthen animal health and the competitiveness of Spanish pork.<\/p>\n<p>We also participated in the round table discussion &#8220;Herd structure: sows, bait, imports.
