These days, we are taking part for the first time as Gold Sponsors of the iPRRS Symposium 2026 in Barcelona<\/strong>, with a clear commitment: Every piglet, a reason.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This commitment drives us to listen to the concerns of the sector, stay up to date with the latest scientific evidence, and seek answers at a high-level scientific meeting, where we are contributing three posters addressing PRRS from complementary perspectives.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In piglets, we present the results of vaccination against infection with the Rosal\u00eda strain.<\/strong> Following experimental challenge, vaccinated animals showed fewer clinical signs and better growth, mitigating the clinical and productive impact of the infection.<\/p>\n

But understanding PRRS also means studying its relationship with other diseases. That is why, in collaboration with IRTA-CReSA<\/strong>, we analysed the relationship between PRRS and PCV2.<\/strong> The results associated early PRRSV infection with increased PCV2 circulation during the growing period, highlighting the importance of PRRS control to optimise vaccination strategies against PCV2.<\/p>\n

Finally, we complete this perspective with research in breeding sows, through the study of a candidate vaccine designed to reduce the reproductive impact of PRRS.<\/strong> Following a severe experimental challenge, the vaccine reduced reproductive losses and enabled more than three times as many piglets to be weaned per litter.<\/p>\n

These three studies reflect our commitment to the sector: continuing to contribute science to address the challenges of PRRS on farms.<\/strong><\/p>\n
