More than 35,000 people are dead and thousands more injured after a powerful magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey last Monday, Feb. 6, made the whole world shudder and it goes without saying that we at Syva are particularly touched by the situation.
\nAlthough our colleagues in our Turkish subsidiary are physically safe and sound, some of them have lost family members.<\/p>\n
From Syva we are wholeheartedly with our colleagues and The Turkish population. We want to express our support in this difficult time. We continue daily to analyse the situation and we evaluate with our contact in Turkey, how we can best support them.<\/p>\n
We are in constant contact with Selcuk Aras, our manager in Turkey, and at the last news, we must deplore the death of many Turkish Vets and animal health professionals.<\/p>\n
A tragedy when we know how important they are in these situations of destruction of entire infrastructures, towns, and villages, to help fight diseases that strike animals and spread to humans more quickly in these circumstances where everything is lacking.<\/p>\n
