Infografía sobre la enfermedad hemorrágica epizoótica: repercusiones clínicas

Detecting and tackling Epizootic haemorrhagic disease ( EHD) as well as Bluetongue (BT) is a collaborative effort to protect cattle.

This epizootic causes significant economic losses in addition to those caused by BT. For more than two decades, Syva has worked hand in hand with veterinarians and ruminant farmers to address the challenges posed by Bluetongue. Now, with the launch of its EHD subunit vaccine, we are reinforcing our commitment to the fight against emerging diseases. This collaboration has been crucial in combating the devastating effects of specific serotypes by providing effective vaccines since 2006.

Vaccination has proven to be the most effective strategy to combat these vector-borne diseases. It also breaks the cycle between infected animals and vectors, minimising losses and ensuring the sustainability of cattle and sheep farms. It not only protects the health of the animals, but also the economic welfare of the farms.

An infographic to promote detection and awareness.

To further support veterinarians and livestock farmers, we have produced this infographic to help:

– To identify and recognise the clinical signs of epizootic haemorrhagic disease, enabling rapid intervention.

– To raise awareness of the impact of the disease on animal health and welfare, as well as the type of economic losses caused by EHD.

By using this infographic, farmers and veterinarians can better detect and respond to EHE, leading to healthier livestock and more stable economic conditions for farms.

By providing educational resources such as this infographic, Syva reaffirms its commitment to farmers and veterinarians by promoting both awareness of emerging diseases as a meaningful solution and high vaccination coverage to break the vicious cycle of these diseases.
