Indications
Bovine (calves), porcine, and poultry (chickens): Treatment of gastrointestinal infections caused by strains of E. coli sensitive to neomycin.
Contra-indications
Do not use in case of intestinal obstruction.
Do not use in dehydrated animals.
Do not use in cattle with functional rumen.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Special precautions
General anaesthetics and muscle relaxants increase the neuroblocking effect of aminoglycosides.
Special care should be taken when co-administered with potent diuretics and potentially ototoxic or nephrotoxic substances.
Posology
Calves: 1 g/70-28 kg p.v./day, every 6-12 hours.
Pigs: 1 g/28 kg p.v./day.
Chickens: 1 g/19 kg p.v./day.
Prolong treatment for 3-5 days.
Waiting time
Meat:
Bovine: 30 days.
Pigs: 1 day.
Chickens: 5 days.
Milk: do not use.
Eggs: zero days.
