Each dose (5 ml) contains:
Brucella abortus, live attenuated, strain B-19 50-120 × 109 CFU*
*CFU: Colony forming units
Indications
Active immunisation of cattle against brucellosis produced by Brucella abortus to prevent infection and reduce clinical signs and/or lesions from the disease.
Contra-indications
Do not use in sick or stressed animals.
Special precautions
Do not use this drug during pregnancy or lactation.
In people: The vaccine may be pathogenic to humans. As it has been prepared with live attenuated micro-organisms, appropriate measures must be taken to avoid contamination of the handler and any other person involved in the process.
In the event of accidental self-injection, go to a doctor immediately and show them the package insert or label.
Posology
To reconstitute the vaccine, inject 5 ml of solvent into the vial that contains the lyophilisate and shake gently to dissolve the vaccine.
Subcutaneously apply a single 5 ml dose of the vaccine to cattle aged 3 to 6 months. Ensure asepsis in all cases.
