Indications
For active immunisation of swine against Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae erysipelas disease to prevent infection, mortality, and clinical signs and/or lesions of the disease
Contra-indications
Do not vaccinate sick or stressed animals.
Incompatibilities
Do not mix with any other veterinary medicinal product.
Posology
The dose applied shall in all cases be 2 ml per animal by deep intramuscular (i.m.) application in the neck.
- Primovaccination: one dose at 12 weeks of age and a second dose 3 – 4 weeks later.
- Revaccination: provide a recall dose every 6 months. When the pressure of the infection is high (especially in Iberian pigs), administer a booster dose every 3 months.
- Revaccination of adult sows: one dose 2 weeks after each parturition.
Protection of piglets can be ensured if necessary by administering a new dose one month before parturition in previously vaccinated females.
