Posology

Route of administration: administration via drinking water.
Chickens
10 mg enrofloxacin/kg bw per day (equivalent to 0.1 ml medicinal product/kg bw/day) for 3-5 consecutive days.
Administer treatment for 5 consecutive days in mixed infections and chronic forms. If no clinical improvement is observed within 2-3 days, treatment should be considered based on susceptibility testing.
The bodyweight of animals should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid underdosing.
The intake of water depends on the clinical condition of the animals and the time of year. In order to ensure the correct dosage, the concentration of enrofloxacin in the water has to be adjusted taking the daily water intake into account.
According to the recommended dose, the number and weight of the animals to be treated, the exact daily dose of the product should be calculated using the following formula:

ml of the medicinal product/L water = 10 mg/kg/day x average bodyweight of the animal__
100 mg/ml x average water consumption (L/day)
The medicated water should be prepared every 24 hours, immediately before starting the treatment. The medicated water
should be the only water source available for the entire treatment period.
Ensure that the administered dose is consumed completely, checking supply systems
periodically. Before starting treatment, empty the supply system and fill with the medicated water.
