Indications
Cattle, pigs, horses, cats and dogs: Treatment of inflammatory or allergic conditions.
Cattle:Treatment of primary ketosis (acetonaemia). Induction of parturition.
Horses: Treatment of arthritis, bursitis or tenosynovitis.
Contra-indications
Except in emergency situations, do not administer to animals suffering from diabetes
mellitus, renal failure, heart failure, hyperadrenocorticism or osteoporosis.
Do not administer in cases of viral infections during the viraemic phase or in cases of systemic mycotic infections.

Do not use in animals suffering from gastrointestinal or corneal ulcers or demodicosis.
Do not administer intra-articularly if there is evidence of fractures, bacterial joint infections
and aseptic necrosis.
Do not administer in known cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance, to corticosteroids
and to any other ingredient of the product.
Special precautions
Apart from its indication to induce parturition in cattle, use in pregnant animals is not recommended. Use of the product in lactating cows may reduce milk production.
Simultaneous use with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may exacerbate gastrointestinal tract ulceration.
Administration of the product in combination with vaccines or within two weeks after vaccination is not recommended.
The risk of hypokalaemia may increase if dexamethasone is administered together with potassium-sparing diuretics. Concomitant use with phenobarbital, phenytoin and rifampicin can reduce the effects of dexamethasone.
Posology
Treatment of inflammatory or allergic conditions.:
Horses, cattle, pigs: 1.5 ml/50 kg body weight
Cats and dogs: 1.5 ml/10 kg body weight
If necessary, doses may be repeated every 24-48 hours.
Treatment of primary ketosis in cattle (acetonaemia) :
5-10 ml/cow administered intra-muscularly. Higher doses will be required if the signs have been
present for some time or if relapsed animals are being treated. If
necessary, repeat after 48 hours.
Induction of parturition (cattle):
A single intramuscular injection of 10 ml/cow after day 260 of the pregnancy. Parturition
will normally take place within 48 to 72 hours after. If the birth does not take place
within this period, the dose can be repeated.
Treatment of arthritis, bursitis or tenosynovitis:
1-5 ml/animal by intra-articular injection. Before injecting into the joint
space or bursa, the equivalent volume of synovial fluid should be removed.

Cattle: 72 hours.
Not authorised for use in horses that produce milk for human consumption.
