For the treatment of systemic infections in cattle, sheep and pigs (weighing more than 25 kg) caused by or associated with bacteria sensitive to benzylpenicillin.

Indications

Treatment of systemic infections in cows and pigs (weighing more than 25 kg) caused by bacteria sensitive to penicillin

Contra-indications

Do not administer intravenously.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins, procaine or to any excipients.
Do not use in the event of severe disturbance of kidney function that occurs with anuria or oliguria.
Do not use in the event of severe disturbance of kidney function that occurs with anuria or oliguria.
Do not use in small herbivores such as guinea pigs, gerbils or hamsters.

Special precautions

Do not use in pigs weighing less than 25 kg.

Posology

For intramuscular administration. Shake well before use.
The recommended dose is 10 mg procaine benzylpenicillin 10 mg per kg live weight (equivalent to 5.66 mg
benzylpenicillin per kg live weight) equivalent to 1 ml per 30 kg live weight per day for 3-5 days.
Do not inject more than 2.5 ml per injection site in pigs.
Do not inject more than 12 ml per injection site in cows.
Do not inject more than 2 ml per injection site in sheep.

Do not inject more than 2.5 ml per injection site in pigs.

Do not inject more than 12 ml per injection site in cows.

Packaging

Colourless polyethylene terephthalate (PET) vial (100 ml) or bottle (250 ml) with type I bromobutyl rubber stopper and flip-off capsule.
