Visit of the Secretary General of AnimalHealthEurope in León
Last week, we welcomed Roxane Roethlisberger Feller, Secretary General of AnimalhealthEurope, in our headquarters in León. Our General manager César Carnicer Introduced Roxane Feller to Syva´s management team during a meeting where we exchange on the mission and the current priorities at the heart of the AnimalhealthEurope activities as well as Syva´s Vision on animal health. This was an opportunity to show our guest our ultra-modern facilities dedicated to the production of Vaccines and betalactams.
Syva is proud to be member of the European association AnimalhealthEurope, which works closely with the European Commission to support innovations and accelerate research in preventive veterinary medicine and the development of meaningful solutions in animal health for the future. Being member of AnimalhealthEurope is part of our commitment to the society and our belief in doing a job that foster the ‘OneHealth’ spirit to become a reality at all levels of our Human, Animal and Environmental ecosystem!
Syva is in the Technological Park of León, which is the third most important centre for the high-tech pharmaceutical industry in Spain. Syva is an important employer in the city and in the community of Castilla y León.

Syva receives a positive opinion for Syvazul BTV 3 vaccine from the CVMP of the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
On 15 January 2025, the Committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use (CVMP) issued a positive opinion recommending the granting of a marketing authorization for Syvazul BTV 3 vaccine. This step forward marks an important milestone in the fight against Bluetongue, and Syva is proud to be at the forefront of this innovation.
