Contributors to the 44th edition of the ANAPORC Congress in La Granja
As contributors to the conference and through our participation in it, we reaffirm our commitment to knowledge, innovation and continuous improvement in animal health, supporting the sector in its development towards a more sustainable, competitive and responsible future.
The diverse topics covered at the conference highlight Anaporc’s multidisciplinary approach. The programme aims to provide technical solutions, promote sector collaboration and respond to the major challenges of competitiveness, sustainability and innovation in pig farming.
We accompanied the sector at the gala dinner of the 44th ANAPORC Congress, joining in the well-deserved tribute to two leading figures in the Spanish pig industry: Mr Quintiliano Pérez Bonilla and Mr Antonio del Barrio Martín.
Both recalled, from complementary perspectives, the pillars that have made our sector great: health and biosecurity as a competitive advantage, professionalisation and the irreplaceable role of veterinarians, and the need to better explain to society the value of what we do, advancing animal welfare, sustainability and internationalisation. It was a recognition of a lifetime of service and a way of understanding pigs based on technical rigour, collaboration and long-term vision.
At Syva, we share these values. We will continue to support R&D and work alongside veterinarians, livestock farmers, integrators and associations to strengthen animal health and the competitiveness of Spanish pork.
We also participated in the round table discussion “Herd structure: sows, bait, imports. Can we fatten everything we produce?” moderated by Gabriel Moyano and with the participation of Jordi Dolcet (Cincaporc), José Martínez (Cefusa), and Iván Pérez Santaengracia (Piensos Costa).
The debate focused on the diversity of production models, planning the balance between production, bait capacity and import/export flows, as well as the role of health and biosecurity as key factors in ensuring the sustainability and safe trade of Spanish pork.
Syva continues to support the sector, providing expertise and commitment to animal health.
