Syvac® EH Marker is now marketed under the name ORBYK EHD

Laboratorios Syva announces that the vaccine previously known as Syvac®  EH Marker will now be marketed under the name ORBYK EHD.

Este cambio de denominación forma parte de la estrategia de posicionamiento de Syva en el sector de los orbivirus y contribuye a reforzar la coherencia e identidad de su porfolio de productos y soluciones destinada a la prevención de enfermedades vectoriales en rumiantes.

About ORBYK EHD:

ORBYK EHD is the first and only DIVA vaccine based on subunit technology offering differentiated protection against EHD in cattle. It is currently the only vaccine available on the European market that enables differentiation between infected and non-infected animals. It is available in 40 ml (20-dose), 50 ml (25-dose) and 100 ml (50-dose) vials.

ORBYK EHD was granted a marketing authorisation under exceptional circumstances pursuant to Article 25 of Regulation (EU) 2019/6 by decision of the European Commission on 29 January 2026.

Reminder: indications and administration

ORBYK EHD is indicated for the active immunisation of cattle in order to reduce viraemia and fever caused by epizootic haemorrhagic disease virus serotype 8.

  • Administer intramuscularly to cattle from 3 months of age.
  • Primary vaccination: 2 doses of 2 ml administered 4 weeks apart.
  • Onset of immunity: 2 weeks after completion of the vaccination schedule.
