The 24th edition of the Syva Award has been officially launched!

For almost 25 years, Syva has created the Syva Award, which aims to support fundamental research in animal health and to support young researchers who contribute to the development of knowledge in the fields in line with the activities supported by its research and development department.

This initiative is now a must-have for Syva and the University of León, which supports the academic aspect of the theses defended by doctoral students. With this award, Syva, which is always looking for concrete and effective solutions that constantly improve animal health is committed to a long-term vision oriented towards the development of innovative solutions and strives for quality and excellence.

Initially limited to PhD students from Spanish universities, since 2004, given its success, the award has been opened to applications from universities in Mexico and Portugal.

Last year, despite a programme shaken by Covid19, the Syva Award was won by Dr. Roberto Sánchez Sánchez, from the Complutense University of Madrid, whose presentation is available here.

In addition to a prize of 15,000 euros, the winner receives significant recognition for his work and a unique opportunity for visibility for the development of his career.
