Animal Health Innovation Europe Forum 2021

Animal Health Innovation Europe

As in previous years, between February 22nd and 23th we attended the Animal Health Innovation Europe meeting. Unlike other years, however, where the meeting was face-to-face in London, this time everything has been developed through internet connections, which has required an extra effort of logistical organization.

In addition to the possibility of connecting companies with financial investors and strategic corporate partners from numerous countries, one of the main objectives for which we attended is the possibility of talking to academic institutions, and small start-ups and spin-offs. The objective was to find collaborators to help us develop new products.

From the organization point of view, the first two days were common events held with the most relevant people in the pharmaceutical industry and animal nutritional health, in which trends and market dynamics were addressed. In addition, during three additional days, participants were able to meet with the companies previously selected, in short (20min) 1:1 meetings that represented the perfect framework to meet potential collaborators in a relaxed and open atmosphere.

The importance of this event can be understood in the almost exponential growth of attendees to the event: from 180 in 2016 to more than 500 in 2021. We are sure, given the quality of the meeting, that it will continue growing in the coming years.
