We celebrated a new edition of the Extremadura Sheep Dialogues in Villanueva de la Serena.

This Thursday, 18 September, a new edition of the ‘Diálogos sobre el Ovino’ de Extremadura (Extremadura Sheep Dialogues) took place in the town of Villanueva de la Serena (Badajoz). The event brought together nearly a hundred veterinarians specialised in the sheep sector, who were able to attend a technical conference with a high-level scientific and professional programme.

During the meeting, four presentations of great relevance to professional practice were given, addressing very topical constant issues:

  • ultrasound diagnosis of lung pathologies in sheep,
  • the sector’s strategies in response to European policies,
  • the role of the farm veterinarian and
  • A detailed analysis of bluetongue virus infection and its impact on the immune system.

As in previous editions, we have engaged a panel of speakers of recognized reputation who participated in the debate, generating a very enriching debate. The day closed with a question and answer session open to the audience, allowing attendees to raise their concerns and obtain direct answers from the experts.

The Diálogos sobre el Ovino (Sheep Dialogues) have established themselves as a benchmark meeting point for professionals in the sector, not only because of the technical expert quality of their content, but also because of their ability to promote the sharing of experiences and strengthen the professional community.

We would like to express our special thanks to the speakers for their generous participation and to all attendees for their interest and commitment to the continuous improvement of the sheep sector.

Thank you for joining us once again!
